HP Services Software Patches - alpttdr03_061

NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe
for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha.

Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded
by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will
be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which
can be used to install the ECO.

Problems addressed in ALPTTDR03_061:

o UCBs that are really being used are being deallocated. This
causes devices to disappear depending on which port is using
     them.

This problem is fixed in OpenVMS Alpha V6.2.

Problems addressed in ALPTTDR02_061:

o Under the following scenario, TTdriver on a QIO READ may return
      a status of %SYSTEM-F-BADESCAPE:

An application, run on FT device(DECterm), enables an
out-of-band AST for the ESCape character, while at the same
time using the IO$M_INCLUDE modifier to include the ESCcape
      character in the input stream.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

In order for the corrections in this kit to take effect, the system
must be rebooted. If the system is a member of a VMScluster, the
