                                           AXPYRDR01_015
ECO Kit Approximate Size: 235 Blocks

     System Reboot Necessary: Yes

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for SYS$YRDRIVER.EXE on OpenVMS Alpha V1.5 through
V1.5-1H1. This kit addresses the following problem:

Problems addressed in the AXPTTDR02_015 kit:

o The modem made by OCTOCOM will not work on port TTA1 on
DEC 3000-300 and DEC 3000-500 systems.

Problems addressed in the AXPYRDR02_015 kit:

o Modem signals being reported by the YRDRIVER are not correct.

o The two transmit modem signals DTR (Data Terminal Ready) and
RTS (Request to Send) cannot be set to the "ON" state
independently. They can only be set to "ON" together.

Problems addressed in the AXPYRDR01_015 kit:

o On DEC 3000 Models 300/400/500 systems, a flow control problem on
port TTA1: can occur. This will have the effect of putting the
TTA1: port into the XOFF state. The printer/plotter attached to
this port will stop in the middle of a job and remain there.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

In order for the corrections in this kit to take effect, the system
must be rebooted. If the system is a member of a VMScluster, the
entire cluster should be rebooted.
