SYMPTOMS
========

The SNA Server service (Snaservr.exe) may stop unexpectedly with an Access
Violation error message in the s1plssof function or s1plsnd function while
handling a single sign-on request following a restart of the service. When this
occurs, the following Windows NT application event is logged:

   Event ID: 624
   Source: SNA Server

If the Drwtsn32.exe file is configured as the default Windows NT debugger, a
Drwtsn32.log entry is also created. The following is an example of an entry that
may be created (note the function names):

CAUSE
=====

The SNA Server service is attempting to process an internal single sign-on
message that contains an incorrect destination index field, which leads to an
Access Violation error message.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for SNA Server 4.0. For

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SNA Server 4.0, 4.0
SP1, 4.0 SP2, and 4.0 SP3.

This problem was first corrected in SNA Server 4.0 Service Pack 4.
