The files in this directory provide fixes for the following issues relating to using NT4 SP4 with the Internet Mail Server version 2.0 (IMS 2.0) that shipped with the Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 2.0 (MCIS 2.0): * Inability to use virtual directories with IMS 2.0 with NT4 SP4. * Installation of website security certificates causes a failure of SSL negotiations between client and server. * Default SMTP disappears after changing operator group permissions To install the updated IMS 2.0 files: * Close all instances of MMC. * Stop the POP3 and IMAP4 services. * Optionally, rename the old pop3svc.dll, imapsvc.dll, msmtpsnp.dll, pop3snap.dll, and imapsnap.dll to *.old in %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv directory (or other directory if appropriate). NOTE: These DLL's are registered. Do NOT use EXPLORER to copy or rename the old files, as it will update the registration so the services will use the renamed files instead of the files you will be applying in the next step. You MUST use the command line RENAME or COPY command when performing this step. * Copy the new pop3svc.dll, imapsvc.dll, msmtpsnp.dll, pop3snap.dll, and imapsnap.dll from either the i386 or Alpha directories located in the Support\MCIS directory on the NT4 SP4 CD into the directory from previous step. * Restart the POP3 and IMAP4 services
