If you do not have NTFS disk partitions greater than 4GB, you do not need to install this file. Installation Instructions ------------------------------ To install the new NTFS driver file, rename the current NTFS.SYS file and copy the new version to the Windows NT drivers subdirectory: 1) At the Windows NT command line, type the letter of the drive where Windows NT is installed, and then change to the Windows NT drivers subdirectory. C: CD %windir%\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS 2) Rename NTFS.SYS. REN NTFS.SYS NTFS.001 3) Copy the new NTFS.SYS from this Update. COPY NTFS.SYS %windir%\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS 4) Reboot the computer. The new NTFS driver is now in effect.
