--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Microsoft CDFS01 Hotfix for Windows NT 3.5 Workstation and Server --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Hotfix for Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) 3.5 Workstation and Server contains a fix to CDFS.SYS, the CD-ROM File system. This fix corrects the problem where the following STOP Message: Stop0x00000026(0x000d0259,0x00000001,0x00000000,0x000000000) CDFS_FILE_SYSTEM appears when you execute this specific command: DIR \\.\x: (where x specifies a CD-ROM drive containing a data disk) The STOP Message is caused because the CD-ROM File system fails when parsing this specific indirect path. The command operates normally when referring to any other path. NOTE: This updated file, CDFS.SYS, is provided as is, and is not supported by Microsoft Product Support Services. A tested and supported copy of this file will be included in an updated Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack.
