CAUSE ===== The problem may occur if there are multiple programs issuing the IOCTL_SCSI_RESCAN_BUS I/O control at the same time. There is a race condition that can cause the same request to get issued twice. RESOLUTION ========== A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem.
