These potential vulnerabilities may be in the form of Local and Remote security domain risks. HP has corrected these potential vulnerabilities. Severity is (HIGH) on all the following potential vulnerabilities: - SSRT2322 Bind resolver exploit in ISC - SSRT2341 calloc() potential overflow - SSRT2384 TCP exploit denies all RPC service - SSRT2412 portmapper hang after port scan with C2 enabled - SSRT2439 xdrmem_getbytes() potential overflow The Patch Kit Installation Instructions and the Patch Summary and Release Notes documents provide patch kit installation and removal instructions and a summary of each patch. Please read these documents prior to installing patches on your system. The patches in this ERP kit will also be available in the next mainstream patch kit - HP Tru64 UNIX 4.0G Patch Kit 4. INSTALLATION NOTES: 1) Install this kit with the dupatch utility that is included in the patch kit. You may need to baseline your system if you have manually changed system files on your system. The dupatch utility provides the baselining capability. 2) This patchkit is designed to install standalone or over previous ERP patch kit 104.10 - SSRT2275 - Potential Buffer Overflow and contains some but not all of the fixes included in SSRT2275. If you require all the fixes in ERP SSRT2275 you should install the SSRT2275 patch kit prior to installing the patch kit contained in this ERP. 3) This ERP kit will NOT install over any Customer Specific Patches (CSPs) which have file intersections with this ERP kit. Contact your normal Service Provider for assistance if the installation of this ERP kit is blocked by any of your installed CSPs. 4) These patches deliver updated static libraries. Customers who have applications that build against the affected static libraries should relink those applications post-ERP installation.
