3  PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ALPLINK01_062 KIT


      o  When linking a large image, an access violation can occur if an
         image section reaches 65536 512-byte blocks in size.   



4  PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN AXPLINK02_061 KIT


      o  Very long link times in the ADA compilation system.  To benefit
         from  the  fix contained in this kit the customer must have the
         3.2 version of the DEC ADA for Alpha OpenVMS Compiler.  If  you
         are  not  using  this  version  compiler  the  fix will have no
         benefit"

5  PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN AXPLINK01_061 KIT


      o  Modifications were made to the linker that prevent the  removal
         of  relocation  or  fixup  information  from the deferred list,
         while the linker was in "debug" context.



6  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

     Install this kit with the VMSINSTAL utility  by  logging  into  the
     SYSTEM account, and typing the following at the DCL prompt:

         @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL ALPLINK01_061 [location of the saveset]

     The saveset location may be a tape drive, or a disk directory  that
     contains the kit saveset.

     No reboot is necessary after successful installation of this kit.

     If you have other nodes in your VMScluster, they should be rebooted
     or  install this kit in each system in order to make use of the new
     image(s).
