PROBLEM: (QAR 56240) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-007) ******** userdel utility core dumps when attempting to delete a user account that is running enhanced C2 security. PROBLEM: (QAR 43473) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-007) ******** When modifying an existing NIS "+" or NIS "-" user account by turning off the NIS Overrides toggle, the User ID field is incorrectly set to 0 PROBLEM: (BCPM61V56) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-405008) ******** This patch fixes a problem where the account manager graphical interface (dxaccounts) will core dump on systems running enhanced security when performing a "Find Local User..." or "Find NIS User..." operation in which "Secondary Groups" is the only search criteria that has been specified. PROBLEM: (60842) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-011) ******** This patch fixes a problem where Dxaccounts allows the ':' character to be accepted in the user shell, home directory, fullname, office, office phone, and home phone fields. This caused the /etc/passwd file to become corrupted. If a ':' character is found, an error message is displayed and the account is not added or modified. PROBLEM: (BCGM51CFG) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-015) ******** This patch fixes a problem using templates for preexpired passwords. When the administrator creates a template and within the template chooses force password change at the next login, the user is NOT being asked to change his password as he should. PROBLEM: (QAR 62794) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-016) ******** The userdel command does not delete users from the /etc/passwd file. An error message stating that the /etc/passwd file is corrupt is displayed even though the file is ok. PROBLEM: (QAR 62626) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-016) ******** In the Create/Modify Local Group dialog, when adding users to a group with Group IDs lower than the specified minimum found in the General Options dialog, an error "GID not within the current user-defined range" is displayed. This message should not be displayed and the user should be added to the group regardless of the Group ID value. PROBLEM: (QAR 62480) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-016) ******** If a subdirectory exists in /usr/skel and files exist in that subdirectory, these files are not copied correctly to a new user's home directory. The subdirectory is created correctly, and the files are copied correctly to the subdirectory, but they are also copied to the parent directory. Also, filenames with spaces are not copied to the user's home directory. PROBLEM: ( QAR 52479 ) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-002 ) ******** When a NIS-group entry in /var/yp/src/group file exceeds 256 characters, certain functions performed in dxaccounts (such as locking or unlocking an NIS/C2 user account) will split up the large group in the /var/yp/src/group file into several smaller groups. Each of these smaller groups has the same group name and the same group id as the original large group. As a result, users that are put in subsequent occurrences of the group don't actually get recognized as members of the group. This is causing severe problems in users' environment, causing a majority of the users to not have proper access to files, directories and applications and also causes the newgrp command to fail. The current fix allows NIS-group entries upto 1000 characters. If any entry exceeds 1000 characters while creating or modifying a group, the Account Manager will print an error message stating that the nis group must be split into several groups of lengths less than 1000 characters with group members evenly distributed among these groups, the groupname must be in be in the format _1, _2 etc and the id of all these groups must be the same as the original group. PROBLEM: (64020) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-405010) ******** This patch fixes a problem where a large number of shells in /etc/shells (greater than 10) can cause dxaccounts to coredump or have unpredictable behavior. PROBLEM: (ZU0101558, QAR 68084) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-025) ******** In a NIS and Enhanced Security configured client system if you attempt to copy a user account from the NIS Users view it was causing the Account Manager gui program (dxaccounts) to crash. PROBLEM: (QAR 70612) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-025) ******** In a NIS environment, if a client system is configured with Enhanced Security and the NIS server is not when you attempt the copy of a user in the NIS Users view of the Account Manager program (dxaccounts) on the client system it will crash the program. The program will no longer crash. It now produces an error message indicating that you can not copy a Base security level user account to a Enhanced Security configured system. PROBLEM: (QAR 69318) (Patch ID: OSF425DX-028) ******** This patch fixes the problem with the useradd, usermod, userdel commands removing the last entry of the /etc/passwd file when the last line of the /etc/passwd file does not end with the new line character (\n). If the deleted line was a regular user entry that user will no longer be an authorized user; even worse, if that last entry was '+:' with passwords stored using NIS, then all users will be prevented from logging in.
