PROBLEM: (QAR 55268) (Patch ID: OSF410CDE-400011) ******** This patch lets dtmail correctly display Japanese and Korean mail messages that do not have a Content-Type header. The patch only takes effect when you run dtmail in a Japanese or Korean locale. It is useful if you receive mail from older Japanese or Korean mail programs that encode their messages in ISO-2022-JP or ISO-2022-KR, but do not include a MIME Content-Type header. That header normally identifies the encoding of the mail message like this: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-2022-JP For Japanese and Korean mail messages that do not include this header, dtmail currently assumes that they are encoded in us-ascii. As a result, it does not display them correctly. This patch fixes the problem by telling dtmail to assume that the messages are encoded in ISO-2022-JP for Japanese locales and ISO-2022-KR for Korean locales.
