ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for Micro Focus COBOL V4.1A.  This kit addresses the
following problems: 

  o  Rare ACCEPT from DATE/TIME overflow causes return of wrong date.
     This ACCEPT from DATE/TIME problem would be an extremely rare 
     occurrence and is not expected to be duplicated.  This ECO has 
     been produced to provide a fix for anyone who has encountered 
     this issue.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

Installing Micro Focus COBOL requires DIGITAL UNIX Version 4.0.
Micro Focus COBOL V4.1A has been tested on DIGITAL UNIX V4.0B and
Version V4.0D.

The distributions of the Micro Focus COBOL Developer Suite and
the Micro Focus COBOL Application Server are provided in the form
of ECO kits. The products are provided complete on the kits. The
tar files of MFCE0141A.tar and MFOE0141A.tar must be unpacked
before using the setld utility to install the appropriate kit.
Be sure to use the setld -d option to deinstall the product prior
to the installation of this version. The documentation within the
unpacked tar file includes this document, the Micro Focus COBOL
Installation Guide for DIGITAL UNIX, and the Micro Focus COBOL
Product Release Notes which are provided in POSTSCRIPT[R] and
ASCII forms.

  o  The Micro Focus COBOL documentation and installation subsets
     are in the directories:

       /mfce0141a/documentation
       /mfce0141a/kit

  o  The Micro Focus Application Server documentation and installation 
     subsets are in the directories:

       /mfoe0141a/documentation
       /mfoe0141a/kit

The Micro Focus COBOL Installation Guide for DIGITAL UNIX has
not been updated with this release. The guide remains accurate
with the exception of the new version numbers described within
the examples. The current subset directory for Micro Focus COBOL
Developer Suite is mfce0141a. The corresponding subset names are:
MFCBASE412, MFCDOC412, MFCMAN412. The current subset directory
for Micro Focus Application Server is mfo0141a. The corresponding
subset names are: MFOBASE412, MFODOC412, MFOMAN412.
