PRODUCT:    Digital UNIX [R]

COMPONENT:  DECwindows Motif Toolkit, 1.2.3

SOURCE:     Digital Equipment Corporation

ECO INFORMATION:

     ECO Kit Name:  MOTDU_E07032
     ECO Kits Superseded by This ECO Kit: MOTDUECO06123V32
     ECO Kit Approximate Size: 8707 Blocks

     Kit Applies To: Digital UNIX V3.2
                      DECwindows Motif Toolkit

    NOTE: The MOTDU_E07032 is an accumulative kit which supersedes
           the MOTDUECO06123V32 kit, which was released via other
           mechanisms prior to inclusion in this kit.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for DECwindows Motif Toolkit on Digital UNIX V3.2.
This kit addresses the following problems:

      o Incorrect behavior of XmGetPixmap() in Motif 1.2.3 causes
         an XCopyPlane() error message.

      o DialogS.c causes Motif programs to crash on Digital UNIX V3.2.

      o Added RGB as a valid type for the color expression in the
         color table.

      o Scrolled list width was not adjusted correctly with
         XtManageChild().

      o VendorS.c should read a new window's shell to the
         grab list to allow input in the shell

      o Since old_tf is a tempory widget and will be freed in
         Xt, we should check whether there is any Static pointer
         pointing to it. If there is, we let the Static pointer
         point to NULL in function SetValues of module TextF.

      o A potential security vulnerability has been discovered,
         where dxsession writes to /tmp directory, which under
         certain circumstances, system integrity may
         be compromised. Digital has corrected potential
         vulnerability.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

      Install this kit using the PATCH script found in the compressed
      tar file motdu_e07032.tar.Z . To unpack the kit, create an
      empty directory and extract the contents of motdu_e07032.tar.Z
      into that directory.

      NOTE: If this ECO is received on tape media, it will already
             be in an uncompressed .tar, motdu_e07032.tar, format.
