HP Services Software Patches - alpcddocmar97

NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe
for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha.

Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded
by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will
be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which
can be used to install the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists to provide a Bookreader bookshelf hierarchy that
can be used to navigate the contents of the Online Documentation
Library (ODL). This saveset was not included in the released ODL CD-ROM
offering for OpenVMS Alpha of March, 1997.

This kit creates the directory SYS$COMMON:[DECW$BOOK.AXPDOCMAR97]
with Bookreader bookshelf files for accessing all Bookreader books
on the March 1997 OpenVMS Alpha Online Documentation Library CD-ROMs
using only Bookreader.

This kit responds to the needs of customers who can not meet the
requirements for installing Bookshelf Navigation Utility (BNU) or who
have requested continued support for Bookreader bookshelf navigation.

A Bookreader bookshelf hierarchy will be made available in the next
release of the Online Documentation Library (ODL) for OpenVMS Alpha
(June, 1997).

INSTALLATION NOTES:

The system/cluster does not need to be rebooted after this kit is installed.
After the installation completes, you must redefine the DECW$BOOK logical
name on your system to include SYS$COMMON:[DECW$BOOK.AXPDOCMAR97]. Refer
to SYS$HELP:ALPCDDOCMAR97.RELEASE_NOTES for more information. The ODL
CD-ROMs must be mounted on the system.
