HP Services Software Patches - open3d_e10023

NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe
for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha.

Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded
by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will
be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which
can be used to install the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for DEC Open3D V2.2 and V2.3 on OpenVMS AXP V1.5
through V6.1. This kit addresses the following problems:

o CPU errors logged during normal operation of a ZLX-E1 graphics
option. Even though the CPU error does not affect the normal
operation of the system, the installation of this ECO kit fixes
     the problem.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are running DEC Open3D for OpenVMS AXP V2.2,
you MUST install the OPEN3D_EO7022 (CSCPAT_2042) kit
                 BEFORE installing the OPEN3D_E10023 kit.

To determine what version of DEC Open3D is on the
system, perform a directory of SYS$HELP:*OPEN3D*.*.
Files listed as OPEN3D022 would signify that DEC Open3D
V2.2 is on the system. OPEN3D023 would signify V2.3.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

The system/cluster does not need to be rebooted after this kit is
installed. However, DEC Open3D should be shutdown and restarted in
order for all kit changes to take effect.

NOTE: Please note that the actual name for the DEC Open3D ECO savesets
is OPEN3D_E10023. This name is different than what is documented
       in the ECO Release Notes.
