ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for ACMS V4.0 for OpenVMS on OpenVMS VAX V5.5 and
higher and OpenVMS Alpha V1.5 and higher. This kit addresses the
following problems:

o The ACMEXCPAR.COM procedure will no longer fail when ADU is not
    present.

o When using ACMS/ENTER/NORETURN with a DECforms menu, the terminal
    will no longer hang.

o The debug symbol table will correctly be created by ADU on
    OpenVMS Alpha.

o The compatibility problem between ACMS Version 4.0 and early
versions of ACMS Desktop has been corrected.

o Dumping a task group with the ADU will no longer abort With
    SYSTEM-F-BADPARAM.

o Sub_Username item will now be reported in consistent format to
    DECtrace.

o ADU will now name the default LSE diagnostic file correctly.

o ACMS operator commands will no longer hang while generating process
    dumps.

o Missing ACMS symbols are now included in the OpenVMS VAX ACMSHR.EXE
    as Universal.

o Invalid Buffer Length problem has been corrected.

o Protected Workspace problem has been corrected on OpenVMS Alpha.

o Ctrl/G will now work in the task debugger on OpenVMS Alpha.

o Terminal disabled on login problem has been corrected.

o When a user logs in on a controlled terminal, the CP no longer
    dumps.

o Nonfatal internal error will no longer abort the CP.

NOTE: The incompatibility of ACMS V4.0 and DECforms V2.0 has been
addressed with the release of this ECO and a new version of
DECforms. This ECO provides support for DECforms V2.1
on OpenVMS VAX V6.1 and OpenVMS Alpha V6.1.

Please see the Release Notes supplied with this ECO for more details on
problems corrected as well as known problems and restrictions.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

This ECO kit requires that ACMS be shut down either before the
installation or automatically during the installation.

NOTE: For installation on a VAX/VMScluster, it is recommended that
ACMS be stopped on all cluster nodes prior to installation.

The system does not need to be rebooted after this kit is installed;
however, it will be necessary to run @SYS$STARTUP:ACMSTART.COM on all
nodes prior to restarting ACMS.
