* Duel! v2.0 * ============== by Guy Gervais What is it? ----------- Duel! is a game of starship battle. Two players duke it out in orbit around a central sun. Inspiration came from chapter 8 "Star Trek Dynamics" of the book "The Tinkertoy Computer" by A.K. Dewdney. The game is written in Visual Basic and works better on fast machines with large screens. It will play on a 386 at 640x480 but isn't as enjoyable. This game is shareware. It is fully functional, and doesn't nag. If you enjoy it, please send 10$ to the address listed at the end of this document. Installation ------------ Copy DUEL2.EXE to the directory of your choice. The file THREED.VBX should be placed in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. Make sure you don't overwrite a more recent version before copying it. You also need VBRUN300.DLL which isn't included but can be easily found on most Compuserve Forums. I didn't include it to keep the size of the zipped file small. You can create an icon for Duel! by dragging the DUEL2.EXE from the File Manager to a group in your Program Manager. How to play ----------- See "Instructions" and "Controls" under the Help menu in the game. The game is pretty straightforward and a couple of tries should be enough to figure out how everything works.
