  serialwriter is a very basic application for writing data to a serial port.
  You can either enter data into a text box (using UNIX-style line endings) to
  send or you can send data from a file. Any responses received from the device
  at the other end of the serial connection are shown in a "response" box.
  
  This software has only been tested on Windows but it is expected that it
  should be portable to linux without any code changes.
