This directory contains Version 4.05 of the Adobe Acrobat Reader for
Macintosh.


System Requirements

Minimum 

Power Macintosh computer; Apple System Software version 7.5.3 or later;
Open Transport 1.1 or later; 4.5 MB of RAM available to Acrobat Reader;
10 MB of available hard-disk space

Recommended 

Power Macintosh computer; Apple System Software version 8.1 or later;
Open Transport 1.3 or later; 6.5 MB of RAM available to Acrobat Reader;
10 MB of available hard-disk space


Installation Instructions
-------------------------
1.  Drop the AR405ENG.BIN file on StuffIt Expander(TM), StuffIt
    Lite(TM), or StuffIt Deluxe(TM).  The file will be expanded to a
    self-extracting archive named "Reader 4.05 Installer".  If you do
    not have any of these programs, you can download StuffIt Expander
    free from the Aladdin Systems Web site:
    
    http://www.aladdinsys.com/

2.  Double-click the file "Reader 4.05 Installer".  The installer will
    cause all current applications to quit.
    
3.  Follow the instructions on your screen. 

The installation procedure will ask you to read and accept the Adobe
Electronic End-User License Agreement.
