NAME
uucpd - Manages communications between the uucp program and TCP/IP
SYNOPSIS
/usr/sbin/uucpd
DESCRIPTION
The uucpd daemon enables uucp connections through the Transmission Control
Protocol (TCP)/Internet Protocol (IP). This daemon handles the login of
uucp connections and starts uucico to process the uucp requests.
The uucpd daemon is started by the inetd daemon. Make sure that the entry
for uucp exists in the /etc/inetd.conf file. If the entry has a comment
character at the beginning of the line, remove the character and restart
the inetd daemon.
