ldfhread(3)
NAME
ldfhread - read the file header of a common object file
SYNOPSIS
#include <stdio.h>
#include <filehdr.h>
#include <syms.h>
#include <ldfcn.h>
int ldfhread(
LDFILE *ldptr,
FILHDR *filehead );
DESCRIPTION
The ldfhread() routine reads the file header of the common object file
currently associated with ldptr. It reads the file header into the area of
memory beginning at filehead.
The ldfhread() routine returns SUCCESS or FAILURE. If ldfhread() cannot
read the file header, it fails.
Usually, ldfhread() can be avoided by using the macro HEADER(ldptr) defined
in <ldfcn.h> (see ldfcn(4)). Note that the information in HEADER is
swapped, if necessary. The information in any field, fieldname, of the file
header can be accessed using HEADER(ldptr).fieldname.
The program must be loaded with the object file access routine library
libmld.a.
