ldr_inq_module(3)
NAME
ldr_inq_module - Return information about a loaded module
SYNOPSIS
#include <sys/types.h>
#include <loader.h>
int ldr_inq_module(
ldr_process_t process,
ldr_module_t mod_id,
ldr_module_info_t *info,
size_t info_size,
size_t *ret_size );
LIBRARY
Standard C Library (libc)
PARAMETERS
process
Specifies the process whose address space contains the module for which
information is required.
mod_id
Identifies the module. The module ID is returned when the module is
first loaded.
info
Points to a buffer into which the information is returned.
info_size
Specifies the size of the info buffer, in bytes.
ret_size
Specifies the number of bytes returned into the info buffer.
DESCRIPTION
The ldr_inq_module() function returns information about a specified module
contained within the address space of the specified process into the
variable pointed to by the info parameter. The info_size parameter is the
size of the buffer provided. The number of bytes filled in (that is, the
returned structure size) is returned in the buffer pointed to by the
ret_size parameter.
To obtain the unique process identifier for the current process, use the
call:
ldr_process_t ldr_my_process();
To obtain the unique process identifier for the kernel, use the call:
ldr_process_t ldr_kernel_process();
NOTES
This function is currently only implemented for the current process and the
kernel.
RETURN VALUES
Upon successful completion, the function returns a value of 0 (zero). If
the operation fails, the function returns a negative error value and sets
errno to indicate the error.
ERRORS
If the ldr_inq_module() function fails, errno may be set to one of the
following values:
[EINVAL]
The specified module ID is not valid.
[ESRCH]
The process identifier is not valid.
In addition, errors pertaining to the IPC mechanism can be returned.
