NAME
  getpw - get name from uid

SYNOPSIS
  getpw(
	  uid_t uid,
	  char *buf );

DESCRIPTION
  The getpw() routine has been superseded by getpwuid(). See getpwent(3).

  The getpw() routine searches the password file for the (numerical) uid, and
  fills in buf with the corresponding line; it returns nonzero if uid could
  not be found. The line is null terminated.

ERRORS
  Nonzero return on error.
