acl_copy_ext(3)
NAME
acl_copy_ext - Copies the ACL from internal working space format to a
contiguous, persistent form of the ACL
SYNOPSIS
#include <sys/acl.h>
int acl_copy_ext(
void *buf_p,
acl_t acl_d,
ssize_t size );
LIBRARY
Security Library (libpacl.a)
PARAMETERS
buf_p
User space to copy the contiguous, persistent for of the ACL into.
acl_d
Specifies the working storage, internal format ACL to copy.
size
Indicates the size of the buffer pointed to by buf_p.
DESCRIPTION
NOTE: This function is based on Draft 13 of the POSIX P1003.6 standard.
The acl_copy_ext() function copies the contents of the ACL in internal
working space format, pointed to by acl_d, into the buffer pointed to by
buf_p. The ACL copied into the buffer is in contiguous, persistent formatxi
and is not NULL terminated.
RETURN VALUES
Upon successful completion, the acl_copy_ext() function returns the size of
the ACL copied. Otherwise, a value of -1 is returned and errno is set to
indicate the error.
ERRORS
If any of the following conditions occur, the acl_copy_ext() function sets
errno to the corresponding value:
[EINVAL]
The size parameter is zero or negative. The ACL referenced by acl_d
contains one or more improperly formed ACL entries, or for some other
reason can not be translated into contiguous format.
[ERANGE]
The size parameter is greater than 0, but smaller than the ACL to be
copied.
