This ISO 9660-compliant CD-ROM contains the documentation for the Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1A operating system, in the following directories: DOCS/HTML/ This directory contains the Tru64 UNIX documentation set in HTML form. The default home page supplied with the Tru64 UNIX operating system contains an entry that brings users to the HTML library manualshelf page. To view the HTML documentation on other systems, open the LIBRARY.HTM file with your Web browser. (Some systems open the library bookshelf page automatically when the CD-ROM is inserted into the system's CD-ROM drive.) DOCS/ACRO_DUX/ This directory contains PDF copies (for Adobe Acrobat Reader) of the manuals in the Tru64 UNIX documentation set. The HTML library pages also include links to the PDF manuals. See the 00README.TXT file in the ACRO_DUX directory for a list of these manuals. DOCS/ACRO_SUP/ This directory contains PDF copies (for Adobe Acrobat Reader) of certain supplementary manuals that are not part of the Tru64 UNIX documentation set. The HTML library pages also include links to the PDF manuals. See the 00README.TXT file in the ACRO_SUP directory for a list of these manuals. DOCS/HTML/isearch/ This directory contains a UNIX CGI script called isearch, which can be installed on a Tru64 UNIX HTTP server to allow network users to performa full-text search of the documentation. See the Installing_isearch.txt file in the isearch directory for installation instructions. DOCS/HTML/webman/ This directory contains a UNIX CGI script called webman, which can be installed on a Tru64 UNIX HTTP server to allow network users to read the reference pages that are installed on the server. The webman script does not read the HTML reference pages on this CD-ROM. See the Installing_webman.txt file in the webman directory for installation instructions. ISEARCH/* This directory contains the index data for the isearch CGI script. In order for the documentation to work correctly on a Tru64 UNIX system, the CD-ROM must be mounted on the following directory: /usr/share/doclib/online ---- The CD-ROM contains AltaVista Search CD-ROM software and a complete index for the HTML documentation. The AltaVista software, which is located in the root directory of the CD-ROM, comprises the following elements: Search.exe This file is the AltaVista Search CD-ROM engine. Instructions for using it are included in the HTML documentation. avscd/ This directory and its subdirectories contain support files and the index data. initPage.html This HTML file is loaded when the user launches the search engine.
