File - IR_ text_enable.zip.
This registry patch will enable the text character on the MCE remote control to use with Media Center Edition.

1) Unzip file IR_ text_enable.zip.
2) Double click IR_ text_enable.reg.
   The following message will appear:
   " Are you sure you want to add the information in C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\IR_text_enable.reg to the
   registry.
3) Click Yes.
4) Reboot system.
