  This directory contains archived newsgroups from the original archive runs
  from late 2008. This archiving was discontinued after a short time as the
  upsteram news usenet provider closed and no suitable alternatives were
  available.

  In April 2011 archiving resumed with a new provider and a new more automated
  setup. The result of the 2008 archive runs live here while the new archive
  runs from April 2011 onwards live in the parent directory.

  The new 2011 archive contain articles from october 2008 onwards. Articles from
  september 2008 and earlier in this archive have been merged with the data
  from more recent runs.
