  As of April 2011 this site has begun archiving the nz.* usenet newsgroups
  and a number of others. The archives will be made available in this directory 
  in the following form:
     ./newsgroup/volume1YY/MMM.tar.Z
  where the .tar.Z archives will contain the individual articles with the
  naming format 1YYMMDD.NN where NN is the article number for that day.

  Not all groups will be available in here straight away and the archives
  available here will only be updated every month or so.

  The current release of the software used for archiving newsgroups (rkive v3.1)
  is from 1995 and appears to have some issues with years expressed as "08"
  instead of "2008". It can also be confused by multiple "Date:" lines in a
  message. These two issues can cause some articles to end up in the wrong
  volume.
  
  Archives for most groups go back as far as mid-september 2008. Archives for
  a limited set of newsgroups from an archive run in August 2008 are available
  in the ZXnet-old directory and go from mid-october 2007 to mid-september 2008.

  No archives from before before September 2008 are included here so all volume 
  numbers lower than 107 consist of nothing but mis-classified articles. The 
  two issues that can cause this occasional mis-classification should be fixed 
  at some point in the future.

  Archives mirrored from other sites such as comp.sources.unix can be found
  in the ./archives directory which is organised by the orign of the
  collections.
