LeafNode - NNTP Server for small sites

It's small, it's simple, it runs. Initial setup still requires some manual intervensions, but after all is done, it would run quite well.

Works with multiple upstream servers, so you can pull all your news in one place and read it using tin or Emacs/gnus instead of Netscape.

Works well over firewall with socks, but would probably chock on the big feed
