What's new in the ServeRAIDTM
Manager
The latest version of the ServeRAID Manager has the following new features:
- Support for the IBM ServeRAID-5i Ultra320 SCSI controller.
- ServeRAID agent alarms for critical and fatal events.
- Support for the integrated RAID controller (LSI 1030).
Configure, monitor, and administer servers that have an integrated
RAID controller (LSI 1030) on the system board.
- New Configuration wizard for ServeRAID configuration.
Provides an easier-to-use interface, better access to status indicators, and
enhanced functionality that eliminates potential configurations that are not
valid.
- Reports physical drive field replaceable unit (FRU) information within
events.
IBM service representatives use the FRU information to identify the physical
drive model replacement without opening the server cover.
- Accessibility for people who have disabilities.
The ServeRAID Manager includes important accessibility features and functions
so that the Manager is directly accessible without regard to the ability of
the user. These features include, but are not limited to, the following:
- (Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows XP, Windows
Me, Windows 98, and Windows 95 only) Windows and frames coordinate with
the operating system color schemes.
- Menus, buttons, and text fields are accessible from the keyboard.
- Visible focus indicators.
- Components are labeled with text or tool tips.
- ServeRAID Assist.
New and expanded context-sensitive online assistance that is displayed within
the ServeRAID Manager interface rather than in a separate window.
