abstract
This file contains an updated MM.NLM module for NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 8 servers.
details
Overview:
This update contains additional fixes beyond the release of NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 8 specific to the Media Manager module (mm.nlm). Included in the fixes is a partition boundary issue and a change to the snapshot code.
System Requirements:
NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 8
Installation:
1. Extract MM65SP8A.ZIP at the root of the SYS: volume, or in a sub-directory of your choosing. It will automatically create a sub-directory during the extraction to hold the contents of the file.
2. At the server console load NWCONFG.
3. Select "Product Options"
4. Select "Install a product not listed"
5. If the "Previously Specified Paths" dialog box appears, press ESC.
6. Press F3 to specify a different path.
7. Enter the path to the directory where the install.ips file exists (by default this is the root of the extracted directory).
8. Press F10 to install the updated file. The existing file will be backed up in a directory called MM.SP8 located on the DOS partition in c:\nwserver. If a restore is needed, the module must be copied back manually to the c:\nwserver directory.
9. After the installation has completed, the server must be restarted. A "RESET SERVER" can be issued from the server's console prompt to cycle the operating system and activate this newer module.
Known Problems and Limitations:
none
Technical Support Information:

2. Fixed an issue with the snapshot cache that caused abends.
