This README file of UDF355.EXE accompanies USERDEF.EXE for NetWare v2.15C and above.
USERDEF.EXE version 3.55 fixes the following problem.
With USERDEF.EXE v3.54 and earlier the following sequence will cause a "run-time R6001 -null pointer assignment" error to occur when you have more than 50 groups defined in the bindery. Load USERDEF select Edit/View Templates, select a template from the list, then select View Parameters. It is possible that the border of the template parameter screen will show some corruption. When you exit USERDEF you will get the above mentioned run-time error.
When you enter the parameter screen USERDEF builds a 50 x 40 array and reads in the groups from the bindery. When more than 50 groups exist the array is over run which causes the null pointer assignment. USERDEF v3.55 creates an array that is 250 x 40.
To install this version of USERDEF complete the following instructions:
1) Login as SUPERVISOR and go to the PUBLIC directory.
2) Flag USERDEF SRW.
(syntax: FLAG USERDEF.* SRW)
3) Copy the USERDEF.EXE file in UDF355.EXE to the PUBLIC directory.
4) Flag the files to SRO.
(syntax: FLAG USERDEF.* SRO)
