abstract

This download is intended for users who have NetWare 5.0 for Small Business. The UNIX Print Services materials in NW 5.0 Small Business may not install correctly, so this installation can be used instead. These are the same UNIX Print Services materials that come with NetWare 5.0, on the NETWARE5 CD.

This version should not be used on NetWare 4.x nor on NetWare 5.1.

installation

This product is only for NetWare 5.0 or NetWare 5.0 for Small Business.

1. Expand this download onto a NetWare volume, on the server to which the install will be performed. A subdirectory "NWUXPS" will automatically be created, and all the context expanded there.

2. LOAD NWCONFIG, select Product Options, Install a Product Not Listed. For the path, specify the NWUXPS directory under the volume and working directory that was created in step #1. For example, if the download was expanded in VOL1:TEMP, the path would be SYS:TEMP\NWUXPS. Or if the download were expanded at the root of SYS, the path would be SYS:NWUXPS.

issue

Error: "Unable to open nsbs5:/products/nwnfs/./readme.txt."

UNIX Print Services in the NetWare 5.0 Small Business product may fail to install due to an error in the install script. This copy of UNIX Print Services (from the full 5.0 product) does not contain that error and can be used on a 5.0 Small Business server.
