Novell® eDirectory™ iMonitor is a Web-based utility that provides you with detailed information about the health of your eDirectory tree. iMonitor is installed automatically with the installation of eDirectory 8.5 and later.
This document explains how to install and access iMonitor.
Although iMonitor must be installed on a server running eDirectory 8.5 or later, you can remotely monitor the following versions of eDirectory and NDS®:
Launch iMonitor by typing the URL of the server where iMonitor is installed, followed by /nds, for example:
http://ServerName/nds or http://IPAddress/nds
The Agent Summary dialog box appears, providing you with information about the health of your servers, including synchronization information, agent process status, and the total number of servers known to your database.
When you install eDirectory 8.6.1 on a NetWare 5.1 or 6 server that has eDirectory 8.5.1 and iMonitor installed, you will receive the following error:
"You have a newer or identical version of product NDS iMonitor Service 1.0.0 on your computer. Do you want to replace the existing product with NDS iMonitor service 1.0.0?"
To resolve this error, copy JCLNT.NLM and JCLNTR.NLM from SYS\SYSTEM to SYS\NI\UPDATE\BIN. Restart the server, then install iMonitor.
