NFS 3.0 Snap-in for NetWare 5.1 SP7
Download Information Page
This download contains the ConsoleOneŽ snap-ins for NFS 3.0 for NetWareŽ 5.1 SP7.
NetWare Network File System (NFS) provides a file sharing system between UNIX* and NetWare
platforms. When you add this snap-in to ConsoleOne, you can configure the server's global
parameters, start and stop services, configure and manage services, and configure error
reporting. You can also monitor performance, adjust parameters affecting performance, and
configure user and group UNIX information.
Updates to these snap-ins will be offered as they become available.
Prerequisites
- ConsoleOne 1.3.2, available from Novell Software
Downloads, installed on either a NetWare server or a Windows* workstation
- NFS 3.0
Recommendations For Optimal Performance
- Install ConsoleOne and the snap-ins you need on to a Windows workstation.
- The faster the workstation and the more memory, the better.
- Install only the snap-ins you need. Launch time is longer with more snap-ins.
- For Windows 95/98, turn off file caching in the client.
- Right-click the red N in the system tray.
- Click Novell Client Properties > Advanced Settings.
- Modify these settings:
- Cache Writes from On to Off
- Delay Writes from On to Off
- File Cache Level from 3 to 0
- File Write Through from Off to On
- True Commit from Off to On

Known Accessibility Issues
- JavaHelp 1.1 is currently inaccessible via JAWS screen reader software.
- To access JavaHelp with a screen reader, use the IBM Self-Voicing Kit.
- If you can't get the focus on a message, press Alt+ Tab twice.
- While using the mouse, the JAWS screen reader software will be inconsistent for the
following:
- The current status of checkboxes is not read consistently when the status is
changed.
- When placing the cursor on an object in the left panel, the previous object
is read. To solve this, expand the object at the higher level so that the object you want
is in the right panel.
- The first time you shift to the right panel, "Unavailable" is
read, followed by the object name.
- When placing the cursor on the first three fields in NISSERV_servername
> Properties > General Tab, the first three field names are not read. Only the field
values are read.
- If you use Alt+F4 to close a help window, the parent screen will close also. This
happens only on the server side.
- See Accessibility
Notes for more information on using ConsoleOne with a screen reader.
