Mike,

The standard distribution does include a Performer based example. Look in
/usr/share/Volumizer/src/apps/Performer. You don't really need to upgrade to
6.5 in order to use Volumizer (it is supported under 6.2 and up on most
systems), although it may not be a bad idea for a variety of other reasons.
