Error 623 CAUSE ===== These error messages can occur if the Msnus.pbk file is damaged. RESOLUTION ========== To resolve this issue, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders. 2. In the Named box, type "msnus.pbk" (without quotation marks), and then click Find Now. 3. In the list of found files, right-click the Msnus.pbk file, and then click Rename. 4. Type "oldmsnus.pbk" (without quotation marks), and then press ENTER. 5. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 6. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. 7. On the Install/Uninstall tab, double-click Connection Manager, and then click OK. 8. Restart the computer. 9. Insert the Microsoft Windows 98 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key when you insert the CD-ROM to prevent the Windows 98 CD-ROM from starting automatically. 10. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders. 11. In the Look In box, click the CD-ROM drive that contains the Windows 98 CD-ROM. 12. In the Named box, type "msnsvc.exe" (without quotation marks), and then click Find Now. 13. In the list of found files, double-click the Msnsvc.exe file, and then follow the instructions on the screen to install the program. 14. Restart the computer.
