SYMPTOMS
========

Page 1136 contains the "About the Compact Disc" section and is located at
the end of the book between the license agreement and the registration
card. This page contains the following text:

   The compact disc will also take you to a Web site to help you stay
   current with new Internet listings. This resource, updated often, lists
   addresses and links that are too new to have been included on your CD.
   To view links to new sites, open the Help menu and then click New
   Internet Directory Listings Online."

However, there is no New Internet Directory Listings Online option in the
Help menu.

RESOLUTION
==========

Updates to the Web listings can be obtained in one of two ways.

First, Microsoft Bookshelf Internet Directory will automatically update the
addresses of the sites on the CD-ROM if and when the addresses change. This
is called the "Web Link Redirection" feature. The addresses will be
automatically updated as needed when they are used. You do not have to do
anything to enable this feature.

Second, you can browse through new and updated listings by following these
steps:

1. On the Help menu, click New Listings. This will take you to
   http://bookshelf.msn.com/na/updates.asp.

2. In the second paragraph on the Web page, choose the Premier Web Search
   link.

3. On the Bookshelf Premier Web Search page, click to select Bookshelf
   Premier Sites.

4. Type one or more keywords in Find Information About.

This search will give you all of the sites that Bookshelf has selected
containing the keywords. Note, however, that these sites are not reviewed.

Please note that it is not possible to download these updates to your copy
of Microsoft Bookshelf Internet Directory.

Correction:

 Delete sentence 3: "To view links to new sites..."
 Replace with: "To view links to new sites, open the Help menu, then choose
 New Listings, and then choose the Premier Web Search link."
