MORE INFORMATION ================ When you sign up for an MSN account, you specify your home country and area code. If you travel to a different country, you need to change these settings. To do so, use the following steps: 1. Right-click the MSN or the Microsoft Network icon on the desktop, and then click Connection Settings. 2. Click Access Numbers. 3. Click Change next to the Primary box. 4. In the Country box, click the country where you are dialing from. 5. In the State/Region box, click your state or region. This step may not be necessary for some countries. 6. In the Access Numbers box, click the appropriate primary access number for your location. 7. Click OK. NOTE: To change your Backup access number, click Change next to the Backup box, and then repeat steps 4-7. In the Access Numbers box, click an appropriate backup access number for your location. 8. Click Dialing Properties. 9. In the I Am Dialing From box, type a name for your location. 10. In the The Area Code Is box, type the area code of your location. 11. In the I Am In box, click the country where you are dialing from. 12. Click OK until you return to Windows. 13. Restart the computer. These changes take effect the next time you connect to MSN. Please be aware that, in some cases, MSN may not have a local access number for the country you are dialing from. MSN accepts no responsibility for any long distance phone charges that you may incur.
