If you then attempt to connect to MSN using a Dial-Up Networking connection, you may receive the following error message: The computer you're dialing into cannot establish a Dial-Up Networking connection. Check your password and try again. CAUSE ===== Your MSN Member ID or password may be typed incorrectly in the MSN Sign-In screen. RESOLUTION ========== To resolve this issue, type your correct MSN Member ID and password in the MSN Sign-In screen. To do this, use the first method presented below. If this method does not work (for example, the MSN Sign-In screen does not appear), use the second method listed below. If the MSN Sign-In screen still does not appear, use the third method. Method 1 -------- 1. Click Start, and then click Run. 2. In the Open box, type the following line, and then click OK: MSN:1:194246:0:0 3. When the MSN Sign-In screen appears, type your correct MSN Member ID and password. 4. Click the Remember My Password check box to select it. Method 2 -------- 1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders. 2. In the Named box, type "onlstmt.exe" (without quotation marks), and then click Find Now. 3. In the list of found files, double-click the Onlstmt.exe file. 4. When the MSN Sign-In screen appears, type your correct MSN Member ID and password. 5. Click the Remember My Password check box to select it. Method 3 -------- 1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders. 2. In the Named box, type "msnfind.exe" (without quotation marks), and then click Find Now. 3. In the list of found files, double-click the Msnfind.exe file. 4. In the Containing box, type your name, and then click Find Now. 5. When the MSN Sign-In screen appears, type your correct MSN Member ID and password. 6. Click the Remember My Password check box to select it. NOTE: This method may not work if you are using MSN 2.5.
