Do you want Connection Manager to install these? When you click yes, MSN does not establish a connection. You may also receive the following error message when you attempt to connect to MSN: Connection Manager requires some components that are not installed on your computer. Run Connection Manager to install these. CAUSE ===== This behavior can occur if the Internet Connection wizard is damaged or not installed. RESOLUTION ========== To resolve this behavior, install the Internet Connection wizard from the Internet Explorer 4.0 Product Update Web site. To do so, use the following steps: 1. Double-click My Computer on the desktop. 2. Double-click Dial-Up Networking. 3. Double-click the MSN icon. 4. In the User Name box, type "MSN/" (without quotation marks), where is your MSN member identification. 5. In the Password box, type your MSN password using lowercase letters, and then click Connect. 6. Double-click The Internet icon on the desktop. 7. On the Help menu, click Product Updates. 8. When you are prompted "Active Setup is about to determine what Internet components are installed on your computer," click OK. 9. Click the Internet Connection Wizard check box to select it, and then click Next. 10. Click a download site, and then click Install Now. 11. When the download is completed, quit Internet Explorer, and then close Dial-Up Networking. 12. Reinstall MSN.
