Reinstall the service profile. CAUSE ===== This behavior can occur if the Msn.cmp file is damaged. RESOLUTION ========== To resolve this issue, reinstall the MSN, The Microsoft Network dialer. To do so, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders. 2. In the Named box, type "msn.cmp msn.cms" (without quotation marks), and then click Find Now. 3. In the list of found files, right-click each file, and then click Delete. Continue until the list of found files is empty. 4. Close the Find: Files Named Msn.cmp Msn.cms window, and then use the appropriate method: For Windows 95 -------------- 1. Insert the MSN CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. If the Auto Insert Notification option is turned on, close the Welcome To MSN window that opens on the desktop. 2. Double-click My Computer. 3. Right-click the CD-ROM drive icon, and then click Explore. 4. Double-click the Msnsetup folder, double-click the Compnts folder, and then double-click the Msnsvc.exe file. 5. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes. For Windows 98 -------------- 1. Insert the Windows 98 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
