registry files (System.dat and User.dat). Both are hidden files in the
Windows folder.

SUMMARY
=======

By default, double-clicking The Microsoft Network icon opens MSN Central
without The Microsoft Network Explorer. To open The Microsoft Network
Explorer, you must click The Microsoft Network icon with the right mouse
button and then click Explore on the menu that appears. You can change
this behavior by editing the registry so that double-clicking The Microsoft
Network icon opens The Microsoft Network Explorer.

To open The Microsoft Network Explorer when you double-click The Microsoft
Network icon, edit the following key in the registry:

   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00028B00-0000-0000-C000-
   000000000046}\Shell\Default

Change the value for Default to "Explore" (without quotation marks).

For information about how to edit the registry, view the Changing Keys And
Values online Help topic in Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE). Note that you
should make a backup copy of the registry file (SYSTEM.DAT) before you edit
the registry.

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall Windows 95. Microsoft cannot guarantee that
problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved.
