Double-clicking Control Menu Box Doesn't Close Window (98566)

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Works version 2.x, when you maximize a document window, you cannot close the document by double-clicking the Control menu box.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do one of the following:

  • Click the Control menu one time and choose Close from the Control menu. -or-

  • From the File Menu, choose Close.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Works for Windows versions 2.0 and 2.0a. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
