SUMMARY

Files from Lotus 1-2-3 versions earlier than 2.01 may import incorrectly. Formulas and functions in the imported files may reference empty cells, data may appear to be missing, and the row numbers in cell references are increased by 8192.

For example, the formula =A4*A5 in the original Lotus file would become =A8196*A8197 when imported into Works for Windows.

Workaround

  1. Open the file in Lotus 1-2-3 version 2.01 or later and save the file as a different name.
  2. Open the file in Lotus Symphony version 3.0 or later and save in the .WKS format.
