ADDITIONAL TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

  1. Check the Cluster.log (C:\Windows\Cluster) and event viewer for additional troubleshooting information.
  2. Take DCDiag and Netdiag and look for communication errors. This include verifying that WINS and DNS name resolution is working fine.
  3. Verify that the NIC configuration is correct per KB 258750
  4. Within cluster administrator, go to the properties of the Exchange Virtual server instance (Network Name). On the Parameters tab, check the "DNS registration must succeed" and 'Enable Kerberos authentication" checkboxes
  5. Verify that NLTEST /DCGETSITE works fine.
-- If not, consider setting the DynamicSiteName value under the Netlogon registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters
  6. Reset the computer account in the domain and reboot the node
  7. Verify that you have Full Exchange Administrator permissions to the Organization and Administrative Group. Also, you will need domain admin rights.
