This article describes a documentation error that is present in the "ActiveX Client" section of the following two documents:
  • Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for SMTP Gateways User's Guide
  • Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange User's Guide

When you view these documents, the following information is displayed in the "ActiveX Client" section:The ActiveX client provides an alternate method of administering Antigen. By using a Web Browser to access Antigen, administrators can monitor and configure Antigen servers without installing the Antigen Win32 client on each workstation. The ActiveX client also provides another method of remote administration for your Antigen Servers.This information is incorrect. The ActiveX client is incompatible with Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for SMTP Gateways and with Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange.

To remotely administer Microsoft Antigen 9.0, use one of the following methods:
  • Use the Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Connection feature.
  • Use the Antigen Win32 client program.
  • Use the Antigen Enterprise Manager.
