The synchronization of a file that you rename two times does not finish in Groove Workspace 2.5b (922173)

SYMPTOMSIn Groove Workspace 2.5b or earlier, you rename a file two times in Groove Mobile Workspace for SharePoint. Then, you try to synchronize the file to the SharePoint Web site. In this scenario, the synchronization process uses all the CPU resources. Additionally, the synchronization does not finish.CAUSEThis problem occurs because of a synchronization bug in Groove Workspace 2.5b or earlier. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, upgrade your version of Groove to a later version of Groove.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, follow these steps: - In Windows Task Manager, click groove.exe, and then click End Process.
- Restart Groove.
- If you do not have a copy of the file that was renamed two times, make a copy by exporting the file.
- Delete the original file that was renamed two times.
- Synchronize to the SharePoint Web site again.
- If you still want to use the exported file, add the file back into Groove.
