The Time Line button may be unavailable in the Groove Task Manager tool or in the Project Manager tool (922145)

CAUSE

This function is temporarily unavailable if you are if you are editing a task in the Task Manager tool or in the Project Manager tool.

This issue persists if you are running Groove Workspace 2.0a or an earlier version of Groove and if you do not have compatible versions of the following .dll files:

Olepro32.dll
Mfc42.dll
Msvcrt.dll

You will have incompatible versions of these files if the following conditions are true:

You are running Groove on one of the following operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
- Microsoft Windows 98, First Edition
You have not upgraded the previously mentioned .dll files either manually or by installing Microsoft Office 2000 or a later version of Microsoft Office.

This problem may also occur in later versions of Windows if one or more of the previously mentioned .dll files was damaged or deleted.

RESOLUTION

Use one of the following methods to resolve the issue, as appropriate for your situation.

Method 1: Leave Edit mode

If you experience this problem while you are editing a task in the Task Manager tool or in the Project Manager tool, click Save or Cancel to leave Edit mode.

Method 2: Install Office 2000

If you are running Groove on one of the following operating systems, install Office 2000 or a later version of Microsoft Office:

Windows NT 4.0
Windows 98 First Edition

Method 3: Upgrade Groove
