INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated June 26, 2006.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When you view a calendar in Outlook 2003, you cannot scroll to view events that do not fit on the screen. For example, if you have 12 events scheduled on the same day in Outlook 2003, the Calendar window may be larger than the screen. Therefore, you may be able to view only 8 of the events. The Calendar window does not contain a scroll bar that you can use to view items that are out of view.
  • When you open an iCalendar (.ics) file or a vCalendar (.vcs) file in Outlook 2003, the body of the appointment that is created is blank. This problem may occur if the file contains a Body field that is larger than 4 kilobytes (KB).

Note You cannot create an iCalendar file or a vCalendar file that contains a Body field that is larger than 4 KB in Outlook. If an iCalendar file or a vCalendar file contains a Body field that is larger than 4 KB, the file was manually created or modified.
  • When you try to save an RTF message that is larger than 100 KB in Outlook 2003, you may receive the following error message:
Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.
  • Multiday calendar options may not be displayed if the following conditions are true:
    • You set the Time scale setting to 60 minutes in the Format Day/Week/Month View dialog box.
    • You set the Screen Resolution setting to 1024 x 768 or to a larger value in the Display Properties dialog box.
